HVAC Engineering Support
Equipment Selection · Airflow & Duct Design · Smart Zoning · HVAC Control Integration · Building Energy Management
YUJU provides HVAC engineering and technical support for international distributors, contractors, developers and project partners who require more than individual equipment supply.
Based on architectural drawings, project requirements and selected HVAC equipment, our engineering team can assist with equipment selection, cooling and heating capacity evaluation, airflow calculation, duct planning, intelligent zoning, control integration and complete system configuration.
YUJU combines HVAC equipment, airflow distribution, intelligent controls and project-specific engineering into coordinated solutions for residential and commercial applications.
From Floor Plans to a Complete HVAC Solution
Every building has different room layouts, thermal loads, climate conditions and comfort requirements. For this reason, customized HVAC projects should not begin with equipment selection alone.
YUJU can evaluate the project from architectural drawings and develop a preliminary HVAC system concept according to the actual building conditions.
- Cooling and heating load evaluation
- HVAC equipment selection and capacity matching
- Room-by-room airflow calculation
- Supply and return-air planning
- Duct sizing and static pressure evaluation
- Room zoning strategy
- Control system architecture
- Equipment and accessory matching
- Complete project BOM preparation
Ducted HVAC System Design
Correct airflow distribution is essential for comfort, noise control, equipment efficiency and reliable operation of ducted HVAC systems.
YUJU can coordinate the air-distribution system according to room requirements, building layout and selected HVAC equipment.
- Required airflow for each room or zone
- Main and branch duct dimensions
- Supply-air velocity
- Return-air configuration
- External static pressure requirements
- Supply diffuser selection
- Return grille selection
- Plenum and transition requirements
- Duct insulation recommendations
The objective is to ensure that the HVAC equipment, ductwork and terminal air distribution operate as one coordinated system.
YUJU Air Basic™ Intelligent Room-by-Room Zoning
For villas, residences and other ducted HVAC applications, YUJU Air Basic™ provides intelligent room-by-room zoning and variable airflow control.
Instead of controlling an entire floor with only one thermostat, individual rooms or zones can have their own temperature settings and automatically adjust airflow according to actual demand.
- Individual room thermostats or controllers
- Temperature and humidity sensing
- Motorized proportional dampers
- 0–10V variable airflow control
- PLC-based central control
- Modbus / RS485 communication
- Static pressure monitoring
- Minimum airflow protection
- Bypass control where required
- HVAC equipment operation coordination
Inverter HVAC Capacity Coordination
For compatible inverter HVAC systems, intelligent zoning can extend beyond damper control.
The YUJU controller can evaluate the combined thermal demand of the active zones. According to the communication and control capabilities of the selected HVAC platform, this total demand can be used as part of the control strategy to coordinate inverter HVAC capacity.

Modulating Airflow Control + Inverter HVAC Capacity Coordination
When fewer rooms require cooling, room airflow can decrease while the compatible inverter HVAC system also reduces cooling output. When zone demand increases, airflow and available cooling capacity can increase accordingly.
The exact capacity-control method depends on the selected HVAC equipment and its available communication or control interface.
Depending on the equipment, integration may use Modbus, RS485, 0–10V signals, dry contacts, thermostat interfaces, manufacturer gateways or other supported communication methods.
Smart zoning is not simply adding motorized dampers to each room. Airflow, duct static pressure, minimum equipment airflow, fan operation and HVAC capacity must be considered together.

Smart Energy Management & HVAC Control Solutions
For office buildings, commercial complexes, industrial parks, hotels, apartments, schools and other multi-zone facilities, YUJU also provides a separate building HVAC control, energy metering and billing solution.
This solution is different from the Air Basic™ residential zoning system. Its purpose is to connect multiple building systems and help building operators manage equipment, energy consumption, HVAC costs and operating status through one centralized platform.
YUJU Smart Building HVAC Management Platform provides centralized access to HVAC equipment, energy data and building operating functions.
Modern buildings often contain VRF systems, AHUs, electricity meters and lighting systems from different manufacturers and different control platforms. Although these systems can operate independently, their equipment data, energy consumption, billing and operating strategies are often disconnected.

VRF Centralized Control
For buildings containing dozens or hundreds of HVAC units, managing each room or unit separately can be inefficient.
According to the HVAC brand, model, communication protocol and available control points, compatible VRF systems can be integrated into a centralized management platform.
- HVAC ON / OFF control
- Cooling, heating and ventilation mode management
- Temperature setpoint adjustment
- Fan-speed control
- Individual unit and room control
- Floor-level centralized control
- Group and batch control
- Scheduled operation
- Operating scenarios
- Equipment status monitoring
- Fault and communication-status monitoring
AHU Centralized Management
AHUs often perform important functions including supply air, return air, fresh air, air circulation and cooling or heating. Their operating status can therefore be integrated into the same building management architecture.
Depending on the AHU controller, communication protocol and available points, the platform can manage or monitor:
- AHU start / stop
- Equipment operating status
- Supply-air temperature
- Return-air temperature
- Fan operation and 0–10V speed control
- Damper position
- Filter differential pressure
- Available fault and operating data
This allows VRF and AHU systems to become part of one coordinated HVAC operating platform rather than remaining isolated control systems.
HVAC Energy Metering & Billing
For rental offices, commercial buildings, industrial parks, apartments and other multi-tenant projects, centralized HVAC control is only part of the operational requirement.
Building operators may also need to determine which tenant or area used the HVAC system, how long it operated, how much energy was consumed and how the corresponding cost should be allocated.
↓
Energy Statistics & HVAC Billing
- Energy consumption by equipment, room or floor
- HVAC operating-time records
- Daily energy consumption
- Monthly energy consumption
- Annual energy consumption
- 24-hour energy trends
- Monthly energy comparison
- Multi-year energy statistics
- High-energy-consumption equipment ranking
- Electricity tariff configuration
- Energy-cost calculation
- CSV report export
Smart Meter Integration
Reliable building energy management begins with reliable metering data.
Compatible smart electricity meters can be integrated for different floors, areas, tenants or equipment.
- Total electricity consumption
- Daily and monthly electricity consumption
- Real-time power
- Voltage
- Current
- Power factor
- Demand
- Historical meter readings
This allows building operators to move from simply knowing the total electricity bill to understanding where, when and how energy is being consumed.
Lighting Control
Building energy management is not limited to air-conditioning equipment.
According to the lighting equipment and communication conditions of the project, compatible lighting systems can also be incorporated into the same management platform.
Available functions may include lighting ON / OFF, dimming, color-temperature adjustment, individual light control, zone control, group control and scheduled operation.
Scheduling & Building Operating Strategies
Energy waste is not always caused by inefficient equipment. In many buildings, unnecessary consumption occurs because HVAC and lighting continue operating when they are no longer required.
| Scenario | Example Operating Strategy |
| Working Hours | Automatically enable designated HVAC zones and common-area lighting |
| After Hours | Automatically shut down unnecessary HVAC and lighting |
| Overtime Mode | Keep only occupied areas operating |
| Holiday Mode | Apply reduced building operation schedules |
Multi-Brand HVAC Integration
One of the main challenges in existing buildings is that HVAC equipment may come from different manufacturers and use different control systems.
YUJU uses an open equipment-integration approach. The integration architecture is determined according to the actual equipment model, original communication protocol and available control points.
- RS485
- Modbus RTU
- Modbus TCP
- Manufacturer communication interfaces or gateways
- Other supported communication methods
Device Discovery & Registration
For equipment supporting compatible communication protocols, the system can scan configured device-address ranges to identify online devices.
Detected devices can then be registered, named and assigned to corresponding rooms or areas, reducing repetitive manual configuration for larger projects.
Alarm & Fault Management
Where connected equipment provides the required data, the system can monitor equipment offline status, communication abnormalities, fault codes, abnormal temperatures and selected AHU operating conditions.
Instead of waiting for occupants to report a problem, building operators can identify certain equipment abnormalities through the management platform and respond earlier.
Floor-Plan Visualization
For larger buildings, HVAC equipment, lighting and related devices can be positioned according to the actual building floor plans.
Operators can navigate by building, floor and room, select equipment directly from the floor plan and view the corresponding operating and management information.
User Roles & Operation Logs
Different building personnel can be assigned different levels of system access.
| User Role | Typical Permissions |
| Administrator | System, equipment, account and overall management |
| Engineer | Equipment commissioning, communication and operation management |
| Operator | Daily equipment operation, temperature and fan-speed control |
| Viewer | View system status and data without changing equipment settings |
Important system operations can also be recorded so that building managers can review who changed equipment settings and when the operation occurred.
Local Operation + Network Management
Critical building equipment should not depend entirely on an external Internet connection.
YUJU adopts a local-operation and network-management architecture. If the external Internet connection is interrupted, the on-site control system can continue operating within the local network.
Depending on the project configuration, local Wi-Fi access can also be provided as a backup method for on-site management.
New Buildings & Existing Building Upgrades
The YUJU platform can be considered for both new construction and intelligent upgrades of existing buildings.
For retrofit projects, existing HVAC equipment can be evaluated according to its model, communication capability and available interfaces, allowing compatible equipment to remain in service while being incorporated into a centralized management architecture.
Smart Energy Management Applications
| Application | Typical Requirement |
| Office Buildings | VRF / AHU centralized control, lighting and scheduling |
| Rental Offices | HVAC billing and tenant energy statistics |
| Commercial Complexes | HVAC, smart meters, energy monitoring and operating-cost management |
| Corporate Campuses | Multi-building HVAC and energy management |
| Industrial Parks | Multi-zone equipment management and sub-metering |

Energy Efficiency & Carbon Reduction
By combining centralized HVAC control, smart metering, operating schedules, energy analysis and automated strategies, building operators can identify unnecessary equipment operation and improve overall energy visibility.
The objective is not only to monitor energy consumption, but also to use operating data to support long-term energy-efficiency and carbon-reduction strategies.
Project-Based System Engineering
YUJU does not simply provide one fixed building-management software package.
Every building can have different HVAC brands, AHU controllers, communication protocols, smart meters, lighting systems, equipment quantities and billing requirements.
For this reason, the final management architecture is developed according to the actual project conditions.
