A Real R290 Heat Pump Project from the Paris Region

YUJU was recently contacted by a French company developing its own R290 air-to-water heat pump business in the Paris / Île-de-France region. The project is based near Sartrouville and is intended to serve the French heating and renovation market under the customer's own brand.

The customer operates an industrial site with existing production space and future expansion plans. The project is focused on building a scalable R290 heat pump product range for France, with the possibility of increasing local assembly capability after successful product validation and commercial cooperation.

The requested capacity range includes approximately 6 kW, 8 kW, 10 kW, 12 kW, 16 kW and higher capacities. The customer is also evaluating private label, sample testing, CE / ErP documentation, COP / SCOP / ηs performance, French market requirements, spare parts, training and possible future SKD / CKD cooperation.

1. R290 Air-to-Water Heat Pumps for Heating, Cooling & Domestic Hot Water

YUJU R290 air-to-water heat pumps are designed as year-round hydronic HVAC solutions rather than heating-only equipment.

Depending on the selected model and system design, one R290 heat pump platform can support winter space heating, domestic hot water and summer cooling, helping distributors and installers simplify the product range while covering multiple residential and light-commercial applications.

In summer, the heat pump can produce chilled water, which is then delivered to fan coils, air handling units or other water-based terminals to provide indoor cooling. This gives the system year-round value instead of limiting it to winter heating only.

2. Low-Temperature Heating Performance for European Winters

For selected low-temperature R290 heat pump models, the system can continue providing space heating under outdoor temperatures down to approximately -20°C, making the products suitable for cold-weather applications in France and other European markets.

Under suitable system conditions, these low-temperature models can support underfloor heating and domestic hot water production during winter operation.

YUJU is also developing a next-generation ultra-low-temperature heat pump platform targeting reliable space heating and domestic hot water operation at outdoor temperatures down to approximately -30°C.

5. Paid Sample Evaluation Before Volume Orders

For new R290 heat pump OEM projects, YUJU can provide a paid sample unit for technical evaluation at the customer's facility in France.

The sample allows the customer to verify actual product performance before making a larger purchasing decision, including heating and cooling operation, water temperature, controller functions, acoustic performance, hydraulic connections, installation requirements and overall product quality.

The sample unit is initially supplied on a paid basis. However, once the customer completes the evaluation and subsequently places an agreed volume order with YUJU, the product cost of the sample can be deducted from the total value of that order according to the agreed commercial terms.

6. MOQ & Volume-Based Pricing

For standard R290 heat pump products, the typical minimum order quantity can start from approximately 40 units, depending on model mix, customization level and production arrangement.

For larger quantities and long-term purchasing programs, pricing can be adjusted according to actual order volume, product configuration, annual purchasing plan and OEM requirements.

YUJU prefers to establish pricing based on a realistic first-stage purchasing plan rather than use an unverified long-term target volume as the basis for the initial quotation.
