Full DC Inverter VRF · Modular VRF · Mini VRF · Cooling-Only VRF · Indoor Units · BMS Controls
VRF air conditioning systems for hotels, offices, villas, apartments and commercial buildings in selected international markets.
A Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system uses compatible outdoor and indoor units to serve multiple rooms or zones. Separate indoor controls allow different occupied spaces to be managed according to their cooling or heating requirements, subject to the operating modes supported by the system.
YUJU EnvironTech supplies full DC inverter VRF equipment, modular outdoor systems, Mini VRF, cooling-only configurations and a range of cassette, ducted, wall-mounted and floor-ceiling indoor units. Compatible fresh-air processors, centralized controllers, BMS gateways and AHU connection kits are available for selected project configurations.
The current catalogue is mainly based on R410A platforms. Our main project focus for this range is selected markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Latin America, subject to local regulations and model approval.
Full DC inverter, modular and Mini VRF configurations for different building capacities.
1. VRF Outdoor Unit Product Range
The VRF catalogue includes several outdoor platforms with different capacity, compressor, electrical and operating specifications. The product ranges below represent separate families; their ratings and options should not be mixed.
| Product Series | Catalogue Capacity | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|
| Full DC Inverter VRF | 8–32 HP / 25.2–90 kW | Hotels, offices and multi-zone commercial buildings |
| Modular VRF | Up to 96 HP / approximately 270 kW | Larger commercial systems using permitted outdoor-module combinations |
| Cooling-Only VRF | 8–30 HP / 25.2–85 kW | Cooling-focused commercial projects in warm climates |
| Mini VRF | Approximately 8–33.5 kW across listed series | Villas, apartments, smaller offices and retail spaces |
Selection note: Capacity, refrigerant, power supply, compressor type and operating limits vary by model family. The 96 HP figure applies only to permitted modular combinations.
2. Full DC Inverter and Modular VRF Technology
Full DC inverter platforms modulate compressor and fan operation as the load changes. This can reduce unnecessary cycling and makes the system suitable for buildings whose room occupancy and thermal demand vary throughout the day.
The catalogue identifies 13 basic commercial modules from 8 HP to 32 HP. Selected outdoor modules may be combined into larger systems, with published combinations reaching 96 HP. Module selection must follow the official combination table.
| Nominal Capacity | Cooling Capacity |
|---|---|
| 8 HP | 25.2 kW |
| 12 HP | 33.5 kW |
| 16 HP | 45 kW |
| 20 HP | 56 kW |
| 24 HP | 67 kW |
| 28 HP | 78.5 kW |
| 32 HP | 90 kW |
| Maximum selected combination | Up to approximately 270 kW |
- Variable-speed compressor and DC fan technologies on applicable models
- Modular outdoor combinations subject to the published model table
- Refrigerant flow and heat-exchanger optimization
- Intelligent defrost and outdoor-module balancing on supported heat pump systems
- Controller-based fault inquiry and optional remote diagnostics
- EER, COP and IPLV(C) information available for the specified catalogue test conditions
Efficiency figures from the catalogue must be interpreted under their stated test conditions. An IPLV(C) rating should not be represented as an AHRI, Eurovent or local energy label without evidence of the applicable test and certification.
3. Mini VRF for Villas and Small Commercial Buildings
Mini VRF provides several individually controlled indoor zones from a compact outdoor unit, making it suitable for villas, apartments, small hotels, clinics, shops and smaller office buildings with limited outdoor installation space.
The supplied catalogue includes Mini VRF configurations across approximately 8–33.5 kW. Not every Mini VRF series offers the same lower-capacity models, electrical supply or piping limits. Select the actual equipment family before preparing a quotation.
- Compact outdoor unit configuration
- Compatible cassette, wall-mounted and concealed ducted indoor options
- Individual zone temperature settings
- Different single-phase or three-phase electrical options depending on model
- Model-specific piping and connected-capacity restrictions
Mini VRF can be configured with several compatible room-unit types.
4. VRF Indoor Unit Options
Indoor units should be selected according to the room load, ceiling depth, return-air route, supply-air pattern and architectural requirements. The catalogue includes the following options:
| Indoor Unit Type | Typical Application |
|---|---|
| 4-way and round-flow cassette | Offices, retail, meeting rooms and open-plan interiors |
| 1-way and 2-way cassette | Ceiling layouts requiring directed supply patterns |
| Short-ceiling concealed ducted | Rooms with limited suspended-ceiling depth |
| Medium ESP ducted | Ducted air distribution for rooms and small connected zones |
| High ESP ducted | Larger spaces, long ducts and multi-point supply distribution |
| Wall-mounted | Hotel rooms, apartments and smaller enclosed spaces |
| Floor-ceiling | Exposed ceiling or floor-mounted installation |
| VRF air handler | Selected multi-position and ducted air-handling applications |
The medium ESP ducted range lists approximately 70 Pa standard external static pressure, while selected high ESP ducted models list 150–200 Pa. Actual pressure capability, available airflow and noise depend on the chosen unit and fan settings.
Applicable ducted units support rear or bottom return-air configurations. Optional DC motors, drain pumps and controllers must be identified by model rather than assumed to be standard across the entire indoor range.
5. Fresh Air Processing and Ventilation Integration
VRF room units primarily recirculate room air. Required outdoor ventilation must be designed separately; ordinary indoor-unit operation should not be described as automatically providing the building ventilation requirement.
The supplied range includes dedicated fresh-air processing units with catalogue capacities from about 14 to 56 kW. Selected models list external static pressure up to 300 Pa for ducted outdoor-air treatment.
Fresh-air processors may be integrated with compatible VRF indoor units where system connection limits are met. The illustrated mixed arrangement limits fresh-air processing capacity to no more than 30% of total connected indoor-unit capacity, subject to the manufacturer instructions.
Ventilation airflow, dehumidification, filtration and local code requirements still need to be assessed for the specific building.
Dedicated fresh-air equipment can complement compatible VRF indoor systems.
6. Refrigerant Piping and Installation Limits
Piping design affects operating reliability and must be completed using the selected outdoor and indoor models, branch fittings and refrigerant charge requirements. The large commercial modular platform supplies the following reference values:
| Design Parameter | Selected Modular VRF Catalogue Reference |
|---|---|
| Total refrigerant piping | Up to 1,000 m |
| Longest piping run | Up to 200 m actual / 240 m equivalent |
| Maximum height difference between indoor units | Up to 40 m |
| Communication wire length | Up to 1,000 m |
These are reference limits for selected commercial configurations, not universal limits for all VRF models. Mini VRF and other series have different maximum lengths and elevation differences. Confirm real and equivalent lengths, branch arrangement, line sizes, insulation and additional charge from the approved installation manual.
7. Outdoor Temperature Range and Electrical Supply
Selected commercial models specify cooling operation from approximately -5°C to 55°C outdoor ambient. Some heat-pump configurations list heating operation down to -30°C, while other model families have higher minimum heating temperatures. Cooling-only units do not provide a heating mode.
A published ambient operating limit is not a promise of full rated cooling or heating capacity at that temperature. High-ambient output and low-temperature heating capacity should be checked using performance correction data for the actual model.
Catalogue electrical configurations include selected 380–415 V, three-phase, 50/60 Hz commercial models and other 208–230 V variants. Power supply and frequency must be confirmed for the actual model and destination country.
Refrigerant type, local electrical rules, efficiency standards and required product approvals must also be verified before shipment.
8. Centralized VRF Controls and BMS Integration
Compatible room controllers permit occupants to adjust temperature and supported operating settings, while centralized controllers allow building managers to supervise multiple indoor units.
- Wired and wireless room controllers depending on indoor model
- Individual and grouped unit control
- Scheduling, timers and fault-code inquiry
- Selected controllers supporting management of up to 100 indoor units
- Optional remote monitoring on supported configurations
- Modbus and BACnet integration through compatible gateways
- Hotel card-control interfaces where the indoor controller supports them
The exact hardware, software functions and BMS data points depend on the selected controller and gateway. Wireless control, cloud access and BACnet are not automatically standard across all VRF models.
Compatible controllers and gateways support centralized system management.
9. Connection to Third-Party Air Handling Units
Certain projects call for customized ducted air-handling equipment instead of conventional room indoor units. The catalogue includes an optional VRF AHU Connection Kit for selected direct-expansion air handlers and compatible VRF outdoor systems.
The kit incorporates an electrical interface, electronic expansion valve components, sensors and associated control wiring. Suitability must be checked against coil capacity, refrigerant circuit design, valve control, airflow and the supported outdoor-unit system.
An AHU Connection Kit does not make every third-party air handler compatible with a VRF outdoor unit. Model selection and engineering confirmation remain necessary.
10. Typical Residential and Commercial Applications
| Building Application | System Direction |
|---|---|
| Hotel and serviced apartments | Multi-zone VRF with individual room control and centralized supervision |
| Offices and meeting facilities | Modular VRF with cassette or concealed ducted indoor units |
| Villas and apartments | Mini VRF with separately controlled rooms |
| Retail and mixed-use buildings | Commercial VRF with cassette, ducted or floor-ceiling units |
| Projects with special airflow needs | VRF plus compatible fresh-air processing or an AHU Connection Kit |
A heat-pump VRF system does not necessarily support simultaneous heating and cooling in different zones. Heat recovery operation should only be specified when the selected product family explicitly supports it.
11. Regional Markets and Project Configurations
The current R410A-based range is being promoted primarily for selected projects in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Latin America, where the destination market permits the corresponding refrigerant and equipment configuration.
Southeast Asia: Hotels, apartment buildings and offices commonly require multi-zone cooling, appropriate humidity management and convenient indoor unit placement.
Middle East: Commercial projects require model-specific high-ambient performance verification, suitable electrical configuration and applicable local approvals.
Africa: Hotels, offices and residential developments may require adaptable capacity combinations, centralized control and a practical local service plan.
South Asia and Latin America: Mini VRF and commercial systems can be evaluated according to project scale, electrical frequency, installation conditions and cooling requirements.
Availability and regulatory eligibility are country-specific. The published R410A range should not be presented as a universal low-GWP solution or as automatically compliant with new equipment requirements in the United States or European Union.
12. VRF Engineering Selection and OEM Support
A VRF system cannot be reliably selected by building floor area alone. Equipment planning should consider:
- Room-by-room thermal loads and building usage
- Indoor unit selection, airflow and return-air arrangement
- Outdoor and connected indoor capacity limits
- Pipe length, branch layout and elevation differences
- Operating temperature and capacity correction
- Electrical supply and local compliance
- Ventilation and humidity requirements
- Controller selection, BMS interfaces and commissioning access
YUJU supports equipment selection, indoor and outdoor model matching, piping and control coordination, technical documentation and OEM or private-label requirements where applicable. Installation, commissioning and routine maintenance must follow the approved documentation and be handled by qualified local contractors.
